STAFFING
Our above average staffing levels means
more time to spend with our residents and
the many activities the home provides. All
staff go through formal NVQ training via
the Hampshire Care Association. It means
that residents and their families can be sure
that they are being looked after by
professionally trained and very caring staff
that have won Care Team of the Year two
years running.
.
Ongoing training and achievement is an essential part of the
homes philosophy particularly in the area of dementia. This has
gained Brookdale House its high reputation for care in this most
difficult of care needs. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere at the
home and the attention of understanding staff makes for a very
comfortable way of life for our residents. We believe the quality
of life is so important that residents should also be pampered a bit.
.
Residents are discretely monitored by a twenty four hour reporting
system which forms part of an overall individual care plan. Ageing
affects everyone in different ways and we recognize and respect that.
Our task is to provide a caring role that encourages individual strengths.
There is a one month trial period to ensure that clients like the home
before committing to the long term. We also provide a full client
assessment either at the client own home or at Brookdale House.
Anticipating a move to a residential care home can be daunting and no matter
what you read do take the time to find out for yourself what is on offer.
